This Daimler xjc came in needing just a basic service and inspection.
The standard electrical checks. Filter changes, oil and water change, brake check over, drive belts replaced, steering and suspension greased plus a new expansion tank as the original had sprung a leak.

The xjc differs from an ordinary xj in that it has a bit of a party peace. With the windows down there is no B post making this model quite special.

A nice simple part of a classic car service is topping up the dash pots on the carburettors. This helps to dampen the closing of the throttle plate to fast which can cause the car to stall.

The air filter isn’t in a good way and doesn’t look like it has been changed in some time.

The water hear is being drained from the radiator plug ready for fresh anti freeze.

An inspection underneath doesn’t really bring up any problems. One or two oil leaks but nothing the owner wants to worry about at this time .

Looking forward to seeing this one at the workshop again in the future.
